So, Al Gore and the IPCC have won the Nobel Peace Prize. As you can imagine there is much excitement in my office.

I respect what Al Gore is doing, and I don't want to question the Peace Prize Committee's ability to do its homework... but is he really the one person who's done the Most to help the environment?
the prize is not about who has done the most for the environment, it is about peace.
in my opinion, it is really the IPCC who won it. they do a lot of work on avoiding conflicts that may arise from the effects of climate change - such as from resource scarcities. this is where peace comes into it.
